Secondary School Projects
WAK Educate can deliver the NOCN, NCFE and BTEC qualifications for Secondary School students. To date, we have achieved a 100% pass rate with different groups of children from around the Yorkshire region. And with several students winning national and regional awards after taking part in our courses, we believe this reflects the high quality of our teaching.
Goole High School
With a group of students from Goole High School, WAK Educate designed a character for an animation piece. Initially, the students developed a range of ideas, finally creating a 3D animation using Autodesk Maya and learning valuable industry skills along the way.
NCFE Rawmarsh CLC
Rawmarsh City Learning Centre has been the location for several of our 3 week NCFE courses in Animation and popular after school classes. All the students achieved their NCFE Level 2 in Animation and went on to win regional awards and the National Schools Film & Animation Award in London.
NCFE Ridgewood School
WAK Educate taught a group of students from Ridgewood School in Doncaster NCFE Level 2 in Animation. Each student engaged in the history of animation, storyboarding, digital animation and finally produced a portfolio of work along with a short animation piece using industry standard software. Each student gained 2 GCSEs.
Hunger Hill School
Hunger Hill School students and WAK Educate worked together to produce a short video explaining the process of 'stepping up' from Primary to Secondary School to new students.
